lasagna noodles 🤍 👇🏽LASAGNA RECIPE👇🏽 • 12oz "Oven Ready" Lasagna Noodles (NO BOIL lasagna noodles) • 24 oz Mozzarella Cheese (use more or less as desired) MEAT SAUCE • 2.5 lbs ground beef • 48 oz marinara sauce PLUS 1 cup of water (use a high quality sauce) • 1/2 diced white onion • 5 minced garlic cloves • 1 Tbsp Italian Seasoning • 1/2 Tbsp Beef Bouillon Powder • 1 Tsp dried Basil • 3/4 Tsp Cayenne Red Pepper • 1/4 Tsp ground black pepper • Salt (to taste) • Fresh Parsley • Sugar (This is not a rule! Please taste your sauce and use your best judgement if your sauce is very acidic then add sugar as needed) CHEESE SAUCE (make to your taste) • 15 oz whole milk Ricotta Cheese • Grated Parmesan cheese • Garlic powder • Cajun seasoning (optional) • Salt • Fresh Parsley • 1 egg (add last) NOTE: I used a 13 x 9 1/2 inch casserole dish and baked for 1 hour, broiled for 3 minutes. When making the meat sauce please taste as you go! If you prefer NOT to use Marinara Sauce then you may use any pasta sauce (e.g. garlic and herb, tomato and basil, tomato basil garlic ) and taste as you go..... meaning gradually add seasonings to your sauce and make any adjustments as desired. If you prefer you may brown your meat and onions, add pasta sauce, THEN gradually add seasonings! The outcome of your lasagna is based on how well your meat sauce tastes. It's important that you use a high quality sauce and season to YOUR taste for BEST results! Enjoy 😊 How to make lasagna #lasagna #holidaydinner

Beef lasagna is a well-loved family meal all over the world and my version with a trio of cheeses, béchamel and homemade tomato passata in a word is: SUBLIME. Between each moist layer of fresh egg pasta sheets is a mixture of veal and pork mince, smothered in sweet tomato sauce. There are two key things to make yours as good as mine – you need patience and quality ingredients, no shredded mozzarella or cheap passata here. Depending on the brand or size of lasagna noodles will determine the amount you need for 3 layers 9x13 Baking Dish INSTRUCTIONS - In a preheated pot add olive oil, small diced onions and sauté until onions are cooked and softened - To the same pot add lean ground beef, Italian sausage, salt, 1/4 tsp pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes, dried oregano, 1 Tbsp lightly dried parsley and cook on a medium high heat until meat is browned - Once meat is cooked through, be sure to drain any rendered fat out of the meat - Now add pasta sauce, and water to the cooked meat - Combine well - Bring meat sauce to a simmer, cover with a lid, lower the heat and gently simmer for 20 minutes on a low heat - After 20 minutes remove meat sauce from stove and then set aside until ready to use - In a large bowl combine egg, ricotta cheese, 1 Tbsp lightly dried parsley, 1/4 tsp pepper, 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese, 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese and mix well - In a separate large bowl combine the remainder shredded mozzarella cheese and parmesan cheese - At this point you should have your meat sauce, ricotta cheese mixture and shredded cheese mixture in three separate bowls ASSEMBLY - In a 9 x 13 inch baking dish add 1 cup or a good scoop of meat sauce and evenly spread on the bottom of your baking dish - Now place 3 long no-boil lasagna noodles (or 4 if using a shorter sized noodle) on top of meat sauce. Be sure to leave space between noodles as they will expand as they bake - Now spread half of your ricotta cheese mixture on to noodles - Next evenly sprinkle a 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup of shredded cheese mixture - Then add 1 1 /2 to 2 cups of meat sauce and spread evenly - Repeat this process once more - Now add one more layer of lasagna noodles, add the remainder of meat sauce and top with remainder of cheese - Cover tightly with aluminum foil - BAKE in a preheated oven 🤍 375ºF / 190ºC covered for 45 minutes - Then uncover and continue baking for 15 minutes more or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbling - Once lasagna is done, remove from the oven and allow it to set for 20 to 25 minutes - Allowing your lasagna to set and cool a bit will make cutting in to square pieces a lot easier - This lasagna will serve 9 to 12 slices DISCLAIMER: This video and description contains affiliate links, which means that if you click on one of the product links, I’ll receive a small commission. 🤍 ALL THE INGREDIENTS AND MEASUREMENTS ARE LISTED HERE WHERE IT SAYS "SHOW MORE" Homemade Italian Lasagna Bolognese is the perfect Italian comfort food for Sunday dinner. It feeds a crowd, can be made in advance and is really one of the most delicious combinations of a delicious homemade bolognese or marinara sauce and pasta. Lasagna (also spelled Lasagne), is literally a meal all by itself. But no Italian dinner would be complete without all of the trimmings of an antipasto, delicious salads, wine and family and friends. Enjoy it anyway you like, but please, make your own. You'll be so glad you did. Watch my video to see how to make the best lasagna ever. The recipe details are below. Ingredients: For Meat Sauce (Bolognese Sauce): 1 box (1lb.) of dried lasagna noodles, cooked al dente 1 pound of ground beef 1 pound of ground veal 1 pound pork sausage, removed from casing 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 medium-sized onion, chopped 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped 1 celery stalk, finely chopped 1 carrot, peeled and finely chopped 1 (6oz) can tomato paste 2 (28-ounce) cans crushed tomatoes 1 cup red wine 2 cups beef stock 2 dried bay leaves 1/2 cup fresh chopped basil or 2 teaspoons dried basil Salt and freshly ground black pepper 1 teaspoon sugar Sprinkle of red pepper flakes (optional) For Ricotta Filling 1 (2 pound) container of whole milk ricotta cheese 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley 2 eggs Salt and pepper For Topping and Filling: 1 block (16 oz.) mozzarella, shredded In a medium size pot, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and sauté with a wooden spoon until crumbled and browned. Add the ground beef and ground pork. Sprinkle with a good amount of salt and pepper. Brown for a few minutes, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon but leaving it very chunky. Once the meat is brown, add the onions, garlic, celery, and carrots. Give it another sprinkle of salt and pepper. Sauté until all the vegetables are soft, about 3-4 minutes. Then, turn up heat and add the wine being sure to stir and scrape the brown bits off the bottom of the pan. Simmer for 2 minutes, turn down the heat then add the beef stock, the crushed tomatoes, the tomato paste, fresh basil and bay leaves. Simmer uncovered over low heat stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens, about 1 hour. While your sauce is cooking, preheat oven to 350°F Then, cook pasta in a large pot of salted water for only about 5 min, (making sure it stays al dente). Remove from pot, drain in a strainer and rinse with cold water. Place the pasta in a in bowl and drizzle with olive oil to keep the pieces from sticking to one another. Set aside. To make filling: Mix ricotta, eggs, Parmesan, and parsley in a bowl until combined. Season lightly with salt and pepper. To Assemble: Spray a 9 x 13 baking pan with cooking spray. Spread a thin coating of the meat sauce on the bottom of the baking pan. Cover with a row of lasagna noodles following the length of the pan and slightly overlapping them (like roof shingles). Spread 1/2 of the ricotta mixture on top of the noodles, sprinkle with 1/3 of the mozzarella and a light sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Repeat with another layer of sauce, then layer the noodles in the opposite direction trimming them to fit into the pan. Top with the remainder of ricotta cheese mixture and spread to cover the noodles, add 1/3 of the mozzarella, another sprinkle of Parmesan and another layer of sauce. Top the final layer with the noodles running the length of the pan. Top with some more sauce and another sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil and bake for about 40 minutes or until hot and bubbling. Remove from oven. Uncover and sprinkle the remainder of the mozzarella over the top of the lasagna and put back in the oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly browned. Remove and allow to cool for 20-30 minutes before slicing and serving. Cook's Tips The sauce recipe will make enough for 2 lasagnas, so you can freeze the remainder of the sauce for some other meal (like pasta with Bolognese sauce), or make two lasagnas by doubling ingredients for the filling and noodles. Lasagna can be assembled a day or two ahead of time. Don't bake it just assemble, cover and refrigerate or freeze. When ready to bake, remove lasagna 30 minutes before baking from the refrigerator. If you freeze the assembled lasagna, remove it 1 hour prior to baking. Vegetables can be easily chopped in a food processor or with a hand chopper If sauce seems too thick, add a little more beef stock. If it's too thin, allow it to cook longer.
👇Recipe Below👇 🥰SIMPLE. TASTY. BEAUTIFUL.🥰 HOMEMADE LASAGNA Ingredients: Meat sauce: -1.5 pounds of ground beef, .5 a pound of ground pork -Celery, carrots, and onions (little bit of garlic chopped up too) -San marzano crushed tomatoes 28 ounces -salt, pepper, olive oil -red wine White sauce: -One container of ricotta cheese -Parmesan cheese -Pecorino cheese -salt -black pepper -olive oil -oregano -3 eggs -mozzarella for the lasagna layers Homemade pasta -2 and 1 quarter cups of flour -3 eggs -drizzle of olive oil -pinch of salt -semolina flour Instructions for meat sauce: medium heat, add olive oil, then a little the garlic. After a min or two add the 3 veggies. Sauté for a few mins, then add the meat. Break up the meat and stir till it’s all broken up, the meat has a darker color, and the juices have slightly evaporated. Then add about half a cup of red wine. Let that reduce for a few mins while you stir. Add in the tomatoes. Add salt and pepper. Then stir occasionally on the lowest heat for about 30/45 mins. for the white sauce, simply add everything to the bowl and stir together. The ricotta, the eggs, the cheeses, the salt, pepper, and drizzle of olive oil For the homemade pasta, put down the 2.25 cups of flour, and make a well inside it. Drop in the 3 eggs. Slowly stir the inside and allow the eggs to grab all the flour. Eventually kneed into a ball with your hands. Cover and rest in the fridge for 30 mins. Cut the ball into 4s, then roll out each quarter with some semolina flour until super super thin. I cut the pieces to fit the baking dish. It’s a good idea. Cook the lasagna for about 5 mins. Layer the bottom of your baking dish with the meat sauce, and some white sauce. Mix it together for a nice pink ish sauce. Add some shredded mozzarella and parmesan on top. Then cover with the lasagna pasta. Repeat until you fill the dish. Then bake in oven for about 30 mins 375 degrees or when the cheese is bubbling. That’s it! BUON APPETITO BETCH. Follow my Instagram!
